D.E Unit 2

Unit 2.1 Combinational Logic Design

Truth table for 2.1.6 Majority vote.

Unsimplified logic expression for Majority Vote. While unsimplified, this expression is too large to use with our device.

Simplified logic expression of Majority Vote. This expression is what we used to make our device.

This is our final product of the Majority Vote. It is wired to the simplified logic expression (picture to the left).

This shows the basic Booth and Alarm from Unit 2.2 that we will simplify futher.

Unit 2.2 Alternative Design: Universal Gates

This image is of the booth (Image to the left) simplified into NAND logic.

This image shows both the Booth and Alarm (Image to the left) simplified into NAND logic.

This is also the original Booth and Alarm, but this image shows both the Booth and Alarm in NOR logic. By changing what types of gates you use in a circuit, you have the potentail of saving lots of money and/or making a device a lot smaller.
